Peace shall follow

November 11, 2013 05:53 pm | Updated 05:53 pm IST

I recently read the article on the dream speech by Martin Luther King Jr. and how he fought for the freedom of the African Americans. My father told me that King followed Mahatma Gandhi and his non-violent practices. Like Gandhi, who fought for India’s freedom through peaceful means, King fought for the African Americans to do away with slavery. Unfortunately, both were killed by their own countrymen.

However, the non-violent methods that they followed will last forever.
