Twelve-year-old Vishwambhar Anand Vaidyam is the author of a children's fiction book – The Sword of the Lords.

Vishwambhar, who loves to play outdoors, particularly football is a huge fan of Christopher Paolini, He enjoys the Harry Potter series too.

Vivid imagination

Not encouraged to watch television by his parents, he naturally developed a vivid imagination. His book is a story of bravery, perseverance, hard work and of course lots of magic.

Ask Vishwambhar about what he likes about his book, he promptly replies “the battle scenes!” with a twinkle in his green eyes.

“But more than that, I loved imagining the country of Progasthenia, all the magical creatures, the people and the environment there.”

It took him three months to complete the book. With over 800 copies already sold, Viswambhar is definitely on a high!

The website is www.swordofthelords.com.

So does he want to be a full time author when he grows up?

“No, I want to be a financial consultant like dad,” he replies “but I will always write,” he smiles.
