The newly elected Students’ Council of St. Andrews School was sworn in during the 27th Founder’s Day ceremony. It began with a prayer for the newly elected student council and the school, followed by the formal presentation of the sashes and flags to the school leaders. The School Pupil Leaders, on behalf of the Student Council, pledged to carry out their duties with integrity, faith and excellence, pledging to leave a trail and to act as role models for others.

As the first order of business, the captains lead their teams in a spectacular march-past. Marching at the rear was the National Cadet Corps. The parade concluded with a performance by the school band. The Guest of Honour, Rev. Fr. Dhanraj, reviewed the parade.

Colourful display marked the start of the cultural programme.

In his address to the students, Mr. A.M. Emanuel, Chairman AE Group, said that with leadership comes great responsibility, and that students should lead by example.
