Never to forget

March 10, 2014 05:47 pm | Updated May 19, 2016 07:37 am IST

I remember those days,

When I used to hold your finger and learned to walk,

When you used to teach me how to speak.

When I used to tell you about the adventures in school,

Those small little things,

I can’t get them back nor I can erase them from my memory.

These memories are to be treasured by me.

Now, that you are not with us, but your blessings are,

I regret that I couldn't be with you,

When you breathed your last.

Your body may die but not your soul.

You are always alive in our hearts.

I remember those days,

When you used to quarrel with grandma,

On those small little things,

And reluctantly let her win.

When we used to say a single thing at least thrice,

As you had lost most of your hearing ability till then.

I remember those days,

When you were with us.
