There once lived a girl called Umiko. She had a brother named Tim and they lived with their mother happily. They lived in a small hut. One day, there was an earthquake warning and all the people were evacuated. People rushed to the shelter. Umiko’s family were also getting ready to go to the shelter. But unfortunately Umiko’s mother got struck under the building and she was badly hurt. By noon the city was totally destroyed and many people died. Umiko’s mother was bandaged from head to toe. Tim almost fainted when he saw his mother. But sadly, by nightfall their mother died. Tim was sad but didn’t show it. Umiko came to know about her mother’s death later. Tim began to go to work and earn a living. He took care of his sister very well.
