I saw a tree in the garden
That was green like a parrot
That was beautiful as a flower
That touched my heart
When a leaf of the tree fell on my head
It felt like a blessing from a hearty God
When the gardener watered the tree
The leaves shone like a twinkling star
And when it got dark
The sound of an insect
Seemed it was wishing me good night
The light of the moon fell on me
And the way to my house
The chirp of the cricket
Made me sleep with sweet dreams.
