Mystical house

That house

There it stands at a distance

The sun shining on it.

That old house with such poise, it grins.

People were sighted here a long time ago

But no one has been there ever since.

The house is large with such exquisitely decorated walls,

Inside there is a rack of dust coated china dolls

The furniture, they say, is just as it was

But a coating of dust covers it all.

The lawns are grassy and need mowing,

The hedges around are overgrowing,

But despite, the house stands with such grace

Occupying its own space.

The house is old but has its own charm,

It stands gleaming in the sun, doing no one harm,

And it enchants and enthrals everyone with its charm.
