My best friend

May 12, 2014 07:05 pm | Updated 07:05 pm IST - kozhikode:

Everyone needs a best friend in life. We need someone whom we can trust. We need somebody to open up to, and the one who understands our feelings is our best friend — one who is there for us all the time, no matter what the situation may be.

For me, that person is my younger sister, Tejasvini. She is only four years younger than me, and we are really close. I could always go to her and tell her anything. Every day, after school, I would spend an hour telling her about what happened that day. She consoles me when I cry. She even loses her temper when our mom shouts at me.

I am happy and grateful that I have my sister as my best friend.
