Let’s save trees

August 07, 2013 09:28 pm | Updated November 17, 2021 12:17 pm IST

Trees are being cut down indiscriminately. Rapid industrialisation, urbanisation, and population growth are the causes of deforestation.

“Pollution! The only solution is green revolution.”

It is the need of the hour — to plant more trees. We should do so for the long term and greater benefits of the society. We can save mankind and all creatures of the planet. Trees help us in many ways by providing oxygen, rain, and preventing soil erosion.

There seems to be no end to man’s cruelty. We should protect our Mother Earth for a better life for the future generations.

“Only after the last tree has been cut down. Only after the last river has been poisoned. Only after the last fish has been caught. Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten.”

Let’s join hands to save the trees.
