Our world is progressing quickly. Everywhere you look you see new cutting-edge technology, extravagant clothing and the latest cars.

But many in my generation live in ignorance.

Teenagers today seem to have forgotten how fortunate they are, and who they have to thank for this. Previous generations have fought for our freedom and the right to democracy.

Our parents have worked hard for our well-being and deserve our respect. Another thing that teenagers seem to do is cast off anything or anyone that isn't considered “cool”.

Last but not the least, is our generation's uncanny ability to complain about anything and everything. Although our generation seems to have a few faults, we are not the only ones to blame. Active participation from our elders, a little discipline and a lot of affection can go a long way.
