Fate of a watch

March 15, 2010 07:21 pm | Updated 07:21 pm IST

I am a watch on a charming lady's wrist. Ten years ago, I was born as one of the latest Seiko model watches from Quartz Company. Then I was transported to a big shop which has many customers. But no one bought me for a month. At last, a man named Joseph bought me for his darling daughter Mary's birthday. But unfortunately, I was stolen from their house along with other gold ornaments. The thief sold me at the same shop from where Joseph bought me. Then, a man named Alex bought me for his friend's daughter. That day was her birthday. To my surprise, Alex had bought me as a gift for Mary — Joseph's daughter. From then on, I have been with her since she was 10 years old and now she is 20. Today is her 20th birthday. Her friend has presented her a golden watch. I wonder what its fate is…
