Defeat terrorism

February 11, 2013 08:58 pm | Updated 08:58 pm IST

Our country has been home to great people like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Mother Teresa.

Recently, the papers carried a story of a girl called Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani girl, who opposed the Taliban. They shot her. She had to be sent to Britain for medical help. Despite all that she had suffered she said, “We will defeat terrorism”.

In India, we have the Iron Lady of Manipur – Irom Sharmila. Her fast enters its 13 year. She too is fighting terrorism.

These people inspire us to work together to defeat terrorism not only in our country but all over the world.
