The much awaited Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is here and it does not disappoint.

Dark...That's the word uppermost in your mind if you have watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. It's not just that the movie begins at night...it's also the overall ambience that is dark. The scene is serious and there are no two ways about it. Harry has a purpose and he has to destroy all the horcruxes in order to mortify Voldermot and kill him.

Part one of Deathly Hallows sets Harry, Ron and Hermione on a journey where they have more than just this one task. They have to remain in hiding from the Death Eaters, Dementors and all the others on the Dark Lord's side.

Marking the beginning of a long journey the trio get on to a hill on which Hermione has cast a charm for safety. But all is not well and the brewing anxiety in Ron's mind finds vent when Harry confronts him as listens to the radio.

Ron's hasty exit from their mission leaves Harry and Hermione in a fix and it's only when Harry tries to retrieve the sword and is almost frozen to death that we see Ron's re-entry and then all is well.

Ron soon destroys one of the horcruxes (the locket). Some of the other scenes that are spectacular are Harry and Hermione's visit to Godric's Hollow and the attack by Nagini, the trio's visit to Xenophilius Lovegood's house to ask him about the mark on the locket...and their narrow escape from the death trap laid by him.

The cinematography is spectacular with grand landscapes, excellent graphics and a great background score. The characters have all grown with the series and one can see the transition. Set away from Hogwarts; there is one thing we know for sure in Potter's world everything happens for magic....even the killings. There is hardly a dull moment during this journey and the detailing just adds to it. Your wait for Potter 2 maybe a year away but for all the Potter fans it is completely worth it!
