Be the change

February 25, 2013 06:42 pm | Updated 06:42 pm IST

The younger generation often complains about the lack of PlayStations at home, “minimal” pocket money of Rs. 1,000 per week, upcoming exams and what not. Such complains should be put on hold.

When we complain about how parents don’t permit us to go out for a movie, think about the millions who don’t even have a place to live in. Of course, we are fortunate to have such loving parents who look after us so well. Our parents dream of us accomplishing things with flying colours, but we sit and curse the syllabus for putting such a heavy burden on us. Just think about others just like us who have not even seen or stepped inside a school.

We are still living in a dream. We are asleep and unaware of the world around us. Just dreaming about a better world won’t make a difference. Work hard to make those dreams a reality. Be the change you want to see in this world.
