A girl child named Nargis born on October 31 has been declared the seven billionth baby. Even though United Nations Population Fund (UNPF) has not pinpointed where the landmark baby would be born, experts have identified this village, near Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow, as the site of the momentous event. Ajay Kumar and Vinita, the proud parents of the girl, are from Danaur village in the state. Nargis was chosen as the symbolic seven billionth baby by child rights NGO, Plan India.
