A mistake realised

December 18, 2014 05:11 pm | Updated 05:11 pm IST

It was a rainy day, the streets were filled with water. Puddles had formed in many places. Day by day the rain gradually increased. Nobody could go out. A small boy named Mittu was sitting near the window and watching the rain. He was sad because he could not play outside. Then, he decided to get permission from his mother to play in the rain, but she refused. After his mother went to sleep, he tiptoed and went to play in the rain. He made paper boats and left them in the puddle. A frog jumped out of the puddle and Mittu excitedly chased after it. He then saw a mushroom under the tree and tried to pull it out . Later, Mittu returned home fully drenched. Mother had woken up before that and caught him red–handed, but did not scold him. She made him bathe in hot water and he went to sleep. Mittu woke up with fever. His parents took him to the hospital and admitted him. Mittu realised his mistake and said sorry to his parents and promised not to play in rain again. Mittu’s parents were happy. Finally, the rain stopped, the sun came and Mittu happily went out to play.
