My design philosophy is based on the belief that life inside of one’s space should feel good in every sense.  A well-designed interior should embody an extraordinary design that is timeless, striking, breathtakingly beautiful, one that is unique, luxurious, functional, livable, comfortable, and most importantly speaks the client’s language.

What inspires you?

Truth inspires me. The ideals and philosophy instilled in me as a child by my late grandfather C.A. Ramakrishnan, Former Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Tamil Nadu are what inspire me the most. Honesty, transparency and being absolutely crystal clear in my design and execution of my projects are my key points of inspiration. Beauty in all its various facets starting from the lowest level to the sublime forms of energy are what attracts and inspires me.

Can you tell us about some of your favourite projects?

All the 30 projects with around 73,000 sq.ft that Neeras Design Studio has executed over the past one year from April 2013 - 2014 are indeed very dear to us. Most favourite among them, however, are our Cochin project with a theme based kids room and a balcony with an Indonesian night life theme. The Elysium Spa and beauty parlour with the ultra modern interiors, the contemporary residence of O.S. Karthikeyan, Advocate and Syed's posh office in Whitefield Bangalore.

How does one strike the balance between creating a luxurious space and the need to make a home or an office a warm, welcoming one?

Striking the perfect balance between luxury, comfort, warmth and style is the key ingredient in any interior solution. Using cool shades, the right kind of mood lighting and subtle colours could all make or an office an inviting one. One needs to think more about what 'goes' and less about what 'matches'. A luxurious space does not necessarily mean a large investment. A bright well lit interior, playing with colours and simple and elegant furniture could create a real cozy feel and strike the right balance between luxury and warmth in a home or an office.

Can you tell us about your association with international brands?

Neeras Design Studio is a direct associate with International brands Fendi Casa, Ligne Roset, Poliform, Molteni, Porada, Cassina, Varenna Kitchens & B N B Italia. Any products connected with these brands sourced via Neeras will be given to the customer at a much lower price than the current market price scenario!
