The features that characterise luxury living spaces have undergone a total transformation in recent times, becoming more sophisticated, complex and expensive than ever before. The latest trend in luxury housing is a confluence of world-class products, covering every aspect of housing and offering the ultimate living experience to the inhabitants of a hi-tech home.
‘I,’ a residential-cum-commercial centre project of Big Infratech India (P) Ltd, is one such project that takes the term luxury living to dizzying heights. Roping in an array of international brands and housing amenity providers, the company is targeting a futuristic lifestyle to be delivered through super-plush apartments.
“This project is an outcome of two years’ research. We visited many luxury buildings throughout the country before finalising this design. ‘I’ combines the best of all we have seen and more,” says B. Indusekhar, chairman of the company.
The 22-storey building coming up on one acre (0.4 hectare) of land opposite Technopark will have an international mall up to the fifth floor and 27 exclusive, spacious super-luxury apartments from the sixth floor. The project offers three typical apartment plans of three and four bedrooms, with areas ranging from 2,600-4,300 square feet and prices from Rs.1.75 crore to Rs.3 crore.
“From the sixth to the 16th floor, there will be two apartments on each floor. After that, up to the 22nd floor, there will be only one apartment every floor. These apartments, with an area of 4,356 sq ft, will have a 360 degree panoramic view. Since the building is coming up very close to the beach, every apartment in the building will have a breathtaking view of the sea towards the west side,” Mr Indusekhar said.
Each apartment will have world-class amenities, such as sanitary fixtures by Villeroy and Boch, bath fittings by Grohe and electrical fittings by Schneider, France. A high-speed capsule lift by the Swiss company Schindler, biometric access, Italian modular kitchens, a helipad, a sky squash, a spa with Jacuzzi, a children’s park, waterfalls and a swimming pool with underwater music are some of the other luxury features.
“The children’s park, the jacuzzi zone and the swimming pool will be provided on the fifth floor of the building. The swimming pool will have an ozone self-cleaning system because of which at any given time, the water in the swimming pool will be pure, even fit enough for drinking,” Mr. Indusekhar said.
While mood-lighting systems will be installed in every room of an apartment, the personalised lift call buttons will open the elevator right into the foyer of the apartment. A green building targeting platinum rating, the project will emphasise maximum use of natural energy and minimum wastage.
“The building will include features such as a sewage treatment plant and rainwater harvesting. We are also planning to install a windmill on top of the building to source some of our energy requirements,” Mr. Indusekhar said.
Adding to the lifestyle
The international mall will add to the metro lifestyle projected by the project, without disturbing the homely ambience of the apartment.
“The residents of the building will not be bothered by its commercial side. There will be a separate entrance, an access road, parking space, security and other amenities for people living in these apartments. So there is no question of their privacy being affected because of the mall,” he added.
The project is expected to be completed in 30 months.
