The >MetroPlus Theatre Fest was launched at The Park amidst music, mime and drama. The city’s theatre fraternity, stand-up comedians and socialites swapped stories, while Kavitha Thomas and her band belted out everything from Adele to Abba. As this was a theatre-centric party, the glossy yellow festival brochures got as much attention as the wine list at the bar, with guests making decisions on which plays to see over the course of the fest. Between all the cocktails and conversations, the team from Matricks did a quick mime act for the audience. From Burmese Khow Suey to Red Velvet Cake, Chef Rajesh Radhakrishan and his team of chefs from The Park ensured that food selection was as varied as the plays.

The festival, >which begins today , will feature six plays. Tickets are priced at Rs. 600, Rs. 350 and Rs. 200. Season passes are priced at Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 1,750.
