The sixth edition of The Hindu MetroPlus Theatre Festival will be held from August 6 to 15 at the Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall (Lady Andal School campus), Harrington Road, Chetpet. All shows start at 7.15 p.m.

The festival opens with “Break Out: Extreme Dance Comedy” by Sevensense and Yegam Theatre Company, Korea, on August 6. “Ms. Meena” by Perch, Chennai, will be staged on August 7. “Taramandal” will be presented by The Tadpole Repertory, New Delhi, on August 8.

On August 12, watch “Rafta Rafta” by HuM Theatre, Singapore. Q Theatre Productions from Mumbai brings “Khatijabai of Karmali Terrace” on August 13.

It will be followed at 8.30 p.m. by “The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs” presented by monologist Mike Daisey, USA. On August 14, “Quick Death” by Theatre Roots & Wings from Thrissur will be staged.

The festival concludes with “One on One” by Rage, Mumbai, on August 15.

Tickets

Season passes are priced at Rs.3,500 and Rs.2,100. Tickets, priced at Rs.600, Rs.350 and Rs.200 (balcony), are available online at www.hindu.com/theatrefest and www.indianstage.in, and at Landmark (Spencer Plaza, Citi Center, Ampa Skywalk Mall, and Nungambakkam), The Hindu office and the venue.
