Shraddha-the theatre people are ready with their next play. This time, the troupe is presenting a contemporary family drama titled ‘Ippadikku Nandini.’ The 15th production of Shraddha scripted by S.L. Naanu, will be staged from September 6 to 9, 7 p.m. at Narada Gana Sabha, under the auspices of Kartik Fine Arts, Narada Gana Sabha, Sri Parthasarathi Swami Sabha and Brahma Gana Sabha. It will be staged again on Sept 15, at Vani Mahal, T. Nagar for Sri Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha.

This production explores the various styles of theatre with the possibility of giving Tamil viewers a different experience on a family subject. It peeks into the lives of three generations, each from a different strata of society. Lavanya Venugopal, Gita Narayanan, Anantaram, Balaji, Rohan and 'SBI' Murali are some of the main players with veteran Kathadi Ramamurthi giving them the maximum prop up.

T.D. Sundararajan (conferred the Nataka Kala Sarathi title by Sri Parthasarathi Swami Sabha recently) has directed the play in addition to performing in a major role. It is produced by Shivaji Chaturvedi and Prema Sadasivam. For details, call 98404 50537.
