Watch “Paati Vadai Kaaka Nari”, a play presented by NalandaWay Children Theatre Group
As part of the children’s festival “Art, Arattai, Aarpattam 2009”, a rib-tickling musical, “Paati Vadai Kaaka Nari”, will be performed by the NalandaWay Children Theatre Group, on November 12, 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. at Museum Theatre, Egmore.
Translated as ‘Grandma’s Vadai, the Crow and the Fox’, “Paati Vadai, Kaaka Nari” is full of values that can be imbibed by the younger generation. Based on popular folk tales such as the ‘Hare and the Tortoise’ and the ‘Crow and the Fox’, the play is a parody woven around the lives of various animals in the jungle.
It experiments with every genre of music from rap to jazz to our own folk and percussion and will be presented by children staying in the homes run by the Department of Social Defense, across the State.
