It rained awards at the Sathguru Gnanananda Auditorium, Narada Gana Sabha, as the winners of the 25th Kodai Nataka Vzha of Kartik Fine Arts, were announced. ‘America’ Anantha, who has been staging Tamil plays in the United States for more than three decades, was awarded the Kartik Ramanujam Award of Excellence’ for the Best Drama Artist.

Dr. Nalli Kuppuswami Chetty, chief guest and co- sponsor of the drama festival, expressed his happiness over the full attendance of rasikas for all the plays.

K.N. Ramaswamy, director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chennai Kendra, was the guest of honour. He advised playwrights to look out for newer themes and stage dramas all over Tamil Nadu. He also announced that Bhavan will be shortly present plays, with no gates shortly for the benefit of general public.
