Vyagrapuri Veda Paripalana Samiti, T. Nagar, has organised Laghurudrabishekam at Sri Sivakamasundari sameda Sri Vyagrapuriswarar temple in Sirangudi Puliyur, Sikkal, Nagapattinam district, on Monday, August 5. Special abishekam with 108 milk pots will also take place on the day, which is Sivaratri. Social welfare, especially in the context of the Uttarakhand calamity, will be in focus.
The Samiti, which completes 16 years of service this year, is planning to conduct Sri Krishna Yajur Veda parayanam on a large scale to mark the occasion. Veda parayanam and Rudrabishekam on Sivaratri every month has also been planned, depending on the availability of funds.
