Sri Sampoorna Sahasra Chandi Maha Yagnam was conducted in the presence of Kumbakonam Srividya Ratnakara Brahmasri Dinakar Sharma from August 1 to 12 at Sri Rathnagiriswarar Temple, 6th Cross Street, Besant Nagar. The yagnam was performed by 120 vedic scholars. 1000 Aavarthi japa homam was also conducted. The event concluded on August 11 with maha purnahuthi and special abishekam to Goddess Araalakesi. Also each day special pujas such as Suvasini puja and kanya puja were performed.

Special abishekam and alankaram were performed for Goddess Araalakesi yesterday (Aug. 12) as part of the Aadipuram celebrations.
