Consecrations held at two different places are given in a nutshell.
The kumbabishekam of Anandha Mahaganapati temple, situated on the banks of the River Cauvery at Umayalpuram, Papanasam Taluk, was performed on June 26, with the blessings of both the seers of Kanchi Mutt. The kumbabishekam was preceded by Rig, Yajur and Sama Veda parayanam for five days. After the kumbabishekam, the annual niramani utsavam was performed. Special alankaram and abishekam were performed for Lord Ganapati. As part of the event, cultural programmes were organised for eight days.
The jeernodharana maha kumbabishekam for the shrines of Sri Soundara Nayaki Samedha Sri Sundareswara Swamy, Sri Lakshmi Narayana Perumal, Sri Poorna Pushkalambika Samedha Sri Dharma Sastha, at Marungur Village, Tirumarugal Taluk, Nagapattinam District, will be performed on July 10. The events, on July 10, will begin with special yagasala puja at 5.30 a.m. The kumbabishekam for the vimanam and moolavar will take place between 9 and 10.30 a.m. The evening programme between 6.30 and 9 p.m. includes maha abhishekam, unjal utsavam and tirukalyanam. Mandalabhishekam, which begins on July 11, will conclude on August 26.
