Renowned percussionist Anandan Sivamani, accompanied by his son and a group of pilgrims, reached Sabarimala on Thursday on his annual visit to Lord Ayyappa Temple.
Sivamani climbed the ‘Pathinettampady’ (18-steps) and offered prayers at the temple in the morning.
The drummer offered Neyyabhishekom to the deity.
Rare opportunity
Pilgrims at the Valiyanadappanthal got the rare opportunity to watch the percussionist perform on the drums at Sree Ayyappa Auditorium inside Valiyanadappanthal.
Sivamani said he had unfailingly undertaken the annual pilgrimage to the Ayyappa Temple for the past several years.
