“Jogi Singh Barnala Singh Aaho” was their first hit and since then the Meet Brothers (Manmeet and Harmeet) and now Meet Bros have not looked back. With Rajshri Productions upcoming flick Isi Life Mein , the pair has turned music directors. Here, the duo talks about the experiences of composing film music. Excerpts from the interview:

‘Isi life mein',your latest project is a Rajshri Production house movie. How was it to work with a big banner?

Rajshri is the only production house which takes a kind of test before assigning you the film. It was thrilling to showcase your talent in front of a team who has worked with greats like R.D. Burman and Kishore Kumar. We were given different themes and situations and were asked to compose songs. Probably, a bank of our 150 songs helped us a lot in this case.

We didn't hear much of you after your song with Mika ‘Mika – Tune Pappi Kyon Li'.

We were busy setting up our own music company Meet Bros. Anjaan. We have got our own recording studio and most of Pritam's songs have been recorded there only.

What kind of music have you churned out for ‘Isi Life Mein' ?

For the first time in Indian music industry people are going to experience almost all genres of music like jazz, classic, sufi and rock, etc. There is even a rock bhajan in the movie which we composed in just three minutes. Singers like Mohit Chauhan, Debojit Saha, Kunal Ganjawala, Shreya Ghosal and Udit Narayan are on board.
