Ticket sales for The Hindu Friday Review November Fest in the city was formally launched at The Hindu office on November 4.

Sheetal Shantakumar of Kirtilal's Coimbatore handed over the first ticket to Dr. Saradha Jaganathan, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Good Life Clinics.

The second edition of the Music Festival in the city commences on November 17 and concludes on November 20. The four concerts encompass various musical genres. From Carnatic and Hindustani classical to folk, rock and roll and blues, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

For the first time in India, as part of a series of live concerts two young visitors Zeb and Haniya from Lahore will sing songs drawn from musical traditions across the world.

‘Adrishta', with Ganesh Rajagopalan and Debashish Bhattacharya, opens the festival.

On the second day the whimsically named ‘Subject to Change' brings a medley of music rooted in alternative and indigenous styles. Benny Dayal, who has several hits with A.R. Rahman, is part of this group.

The artistes from Pakistan perform on the third day while the festival concludes with some of the best R.D. Burman melodies brought alive by a young foursome.

The Music Fest will be held at the Corporation Kalaiarangam in R.S. Puram.

Tickets are available at Photo Centre (Sai Baba Colony and Race Course), Nilgiris (R.S. Puram, Vadavalli and Ramanathapuram), and between 10 a.m and 6 p.m at The Hindu Office in ATT Colony.
