Flautist Jayaprada Ramamurty, based in Hyderabad, has been identified as a National Record holder in flute by India Book of Records , as the ‘First Female Flautist in India' to play the base flute and the western flute in Carnatic classical music. She was contacted by one of the committee members and her name was forwarded to the Asia Book of Records under the Indian category.

Her name is also being forwarded to the committee for Global World Records and other international records.
