‘Kutcheri in the park' programme

The second edition of ‘Navarathri special: kutcheri in the park' series will feature concerts by youngsters for three days, from October 8, at the Nageswara Rao Park, Mylapore, daily at 6.30 a.m.

The programme, being organised by Sundaram Finance, serves as a platform to showcase upcoming talents and mikes are not used.

On the opening day, R. Vidya, a class VIII student of AVM Rajeswari Matriculation Higher Secondary School, will present a Carnatic music performance. She would be accompanied by Parur M.K. Ananth Lakshmi on violin and D. Sivaraman on mridangam. On October 9, V. Sreeraman, a class VIII student of Vidya Mandir, would present a flute recital for an hour. He would be accompanied by Thiruvedaimarudur K Ganeshan on violin and Nellai V. Sreekrishnan on mridangam. On October 10, a Jugalbandi concert is being organised. M. Sarvajit Krishna and S. Subramanyam will perform on mridangam. S. Srinath on ganjira and S. Sasidaran on ghatam would accompany them.For audition and registration, call: 94440 40748
