The audio and trailer of the film “Ochaayi”, produced by Thiraviya Pandian, was recently released. The film is directed by O. Asaithambi, who is also credited with the story, screenplay, and dialogue.

The camera is handled by Premshankar and the music is by Jeevaraja. The cast includes Dhaya, Thamarai, Rajesh, Santhanabharathi, Ganja Karuppu and Shakila.

According to the director, the film revolves around a father whose misdeeds change the course of the lives of his children. The film has been shot in Madurai, Usilampatti, Theni and Chennai.

The album has six songs and all are based on folk tunes. The melodious ‘Kammangaattukkulla', sung by Bhavatharini and Harish Raghavendra and penned by Snehan, is the best of the six. ‘Sonthamellaam' also written by Snehan is sung by Surmugi and then by Haricharan. Both have done justice to the number.

‘Pathooru Petti Varuthu', sung by Velmurugan, and ‘Marikkolunthu Manakkaliye', the last number in the album, sung by Manicka Vinayagam and Chinnaponnu, are passable. Lyrics for these songs are by O. Asaithambi. ‘Nochikaattu Katha Onnu' sung by Sriram Parthasarathi and Surmugi sounds good.
