The audio of Y Not Studios' “Va Quarter Cutting” was released recently.
The film is presented by Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine Movies, and written and directed by the husband-wife duo Pushkar and Gayatri. Produced by S. Sashikanth, the music is by G.V. Prakash Kumar, and cinematography by Nirav Shash.
The cast comprises Shiva, S.P.B. Charan, Lekha Washington, Kalyan, John Vijay and Abhinayashree. Said to be a comedy flick set on a night, this Deepavali release is a city subject. The film revolves around a young man looking to have a drink before leaving for a trip abroad.
There are five songs in the album. The lyrics for ‘Unnai Kan Thedudhe' is written by Kumararaja, and sung well by the music director and Gana Ulaganathan. Andrea Jeremiah has rendered ‘Thediye Thediye' beautifully. Actor Shiva turns lyricist, penning ‘Saudi Basha', along with R. Amarendran. The song is sung by Bharagavi, along with the music director. In Kumararaja's lyrics ‘Saarpu Saarpu Ji' is a hummable number sung by the music director and Lakshmikanth. The last one is a remix by DJ Vijay Chawla ‘The Quarter Song: Clubmix'.
