Band members of Subject to Change who will perform Accoustic Tamasha on November 18.

As the name suggests, the band ‘Subject to Change’ is an exclusively acoustic one, rooted in rock, folk, blues and rock ‘n’ roll, with swirls of R & B, indie, alternative and indigenous music styles. The band has been experimenting and collaborating with several other well-known musicians as well.

Subject to Change first performed four years ago, at an acoustic festival in Chennai, and since then, they have performed at various venues — at acoustic festivals at Bella Ciao, the Unwind Centre, Kyra and Opus in Bangalore, the Alliance Francaise, The Hindu Metroplus Theatre Festival and the launch of The Hindu Friday Review November Festival . They have also performed at several pubs and hotels.

Subject to Change has a serious addiction to medleys. The ‘Deadly Medley’ has become one of their signature performances. The medley fever spawned several other concoctions and though they combine other musicians’ work, it’s their signature oddities that make their music.

The concert is a whirl of ideas, and the band has fun putting them together as their very own brand of music. ‘Sixth Avenue Blues’ is their first step into the world of original music. Some other originals include ‘Super Mario’, ‘Outta Nowhere’, ‘Don’t Hold Back’, ‘Feel the Vibe’, and their newest song, ‘Subject to Change’.
