Tirtha aradhana

The 264 th aradhana celebration of Sri Narayana Tirtha will be held at Tirtha’s brindavanam, Tirupoonthuruti, for three days from February 19. The festival committee has lined up programmes beginning with Veda Parayanam at 8.30 a.m.

The evening events will be inaugurated on February 19 by Usha Seshasayee at 4 p.m. Rangasamy Moopanar, president, Sri Tyagabrama Mahotsava Committee, Tiruvaiyaru, will present the presidential address. R. Seshasayee, Chairman and Managing Director, Ashok Leyland will speak and N. Kamakoti, Executive Director, City Union Bank is Guest of Honour.

The music programme commences at 5.15 p.m with the vocal concert of M.S. Sheela. This will be followed by a flute recital of Balasai and a discourse by Desa Mangayarkarasi.

Rendition of Tharangams by artists and lecture-demonstration are on the agenda of the second day. On February 21, the title Narayana Tirtha Seva Nirata will be conferred on V. Narayanan, industrialist, Bengaluru. Roja Kannan will present ‘Sri Krishna Leela’ through Bharatanatyam. The festival will conclude with Anjaneya utsavam.
