Vedic Sangeeta Foundation (Ph: 2499 7422) celebrates its seventh anniversary on September 22, 4.30 p.m., at Infosys Hall, Ramakrishna Mission School, Bazullah Rd., T. Nagar. Rashtrapathi awardee A. Sivarama Krishna Sastrigal will be felicitated on the occasion and Dr. R. Krishnamurthy Sastrigal, former prinicipal, Madras Sandkrit College, will do the honours, in the presence of Ranga Ramanuja Maha Desikan, who will release a CD of Vedic Chant (Sri Krishna Yajur Veda Karmam). The first copies will be received by K.R.V. Ramani, MD, Quality Inn Sabari and V. Vaidyanathan, chairman, Sankara Nethralaya. T.M. Krishna’s concert follows (6.30 p.m.).

As part of the celebrations Visakha Hari’s sangeeta upanyasam, from Sept. 23 – 25, 6.30 p.m., at the same venue, has been organised. Vedic chanting precedes the programme (5.30 p.m.) on all the three days.
