Two hill temples – Narasimhar Hill or Periya Malai and Siriya Tiruvadi or Small Hill -- and a temple in Sholinghur Town are attributed to Yoga Narasimhar.
Of these, the hill temples are more famous. An imposing Anjaneyar adorns Siriya Tiruvadi, just opposite the Narasimhar Hill, offering prayers to the deity in the sanctum sanctorum. A unique feature of the temple is Simha Darisanam, where the rock formation before the temple is in the shape of a lion praying before Narsimha.
After 43 years, the Thiru Kudamuzhukku vizha of Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar Temple, at Sholinghur, in Vellore District, will be celebrated on September 10, between 7 a.m. and 8.30 a.m.
The rituals preceding the vizha include Veda Parayanam, Divya Prabhandham and Maha Homam on September 8, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Kumbha Aradhana and Rowthira Homam will be a part of the events on the following day (8 a.m. -8 p.m.). Renovation that was taken up at a cost of about Rs.25 lakhs has been completed.
