The Noodhana Aaalaya Maha Samprokshanam of Sri Lakshmi Nrisimha Swamy Temple at Melattur village, Papanasam Circle, Thanjavur District, will be performed on April 30 between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.
The temple situated on the Narayana Tirtha Bank (West Bank), in Melattur, which was in a dilapidated condition has now completely disappeared. A new temple for Sri Lakshmi Nrisimha, Lord of the Bhagavata Mela tradition, has now been built near the old one on a piece of land belonging to Bhagavata Mela Natya Vidya Sangam, with a new moola vigraham. The consecration takes place here this morning.

The Bhagavata Mela,Nrisimha Jayanthi Divine Varshika Dance-Drama Mahotsav 2010, will take place at Dr. Sri. Nalli Auditorium,Melattur, from May 1-5.
Nrisimha Avataram of Prahlada will be performed on May1, 8 p.m. The following evening (May 2) same time ‘Shakuntalam, a dance production in Marathi will be staged.
Sri Andal Thirukkalyanam in Tamil has been slated for May 4 (8p.m.) and Rukmini Kalyanam and Sri Anjaneya Utsavam will be presented on May 5.
