Annabishekam conducted on the full moon evening of the Tamil month of Aippasi will take place on October 29 at the Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple, Senthalai village, Tirukkattuppalli, Thanjavur district. Devotees gather in large numbers to witness the spectacle of the rays of the full moon falling on the face of the deity. Renovation undertaken
Sri Varadaraja Swamy Kainkarya Trust, Triplicane, has taken up the renovation of 300-year old Sri Varadarajaswamy temple in Korakkai village, Cheyyar taluk, Tiruvannamalai district. Work includes new idols of Utsavar and Thayar, construction of the main shrine, artha mantapam, maha mantapam and the compound wall. The estimate is Rs. 65 lakhs.
