Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha, Mantralayam, organised guru bhakti utsavam from March 13 to 19. During the week-long utsavam, the navaratna rath, for Sri Raghavendrar, studded with over one lakh gem stones, was offered to Sri Moola Ramadevaru on March 16 and the same was offered to Sri Rayaru on March 19 as part of his Vardhanti utsavam. Jnana Yajnya and awards functions such as Vedanta Puraskara, Abhivadanam awards, abhinandanam awards and Social awards were given to many scholars during the period. Nadopasana Music Trust, Chennai, was given the Social award, in recognition of their contributions to the field of music and culture. For details call 2441 3572/2441 7594.

Navaratna chariot

The Navarthna Ratham studded with over one lakh gems was offered by Nadha Haram Trust on March 16 in the presence of Suyatheendra Theerthar and eight religious scholars from various Mutts.
