The ballet began with the scene where sage Viswamitra teaches the Bala and Atibala mantras to Rama and Lakshmana and asks them to destroy the demons Tataka, Maricha and Subahu and protect the yagam he intends to perform. The following scenes depicted effectively the episodes of Ahalya Sapa Vimochanam, Soorpanakha garva bhanga, Sita asking Rama to get her the maya ledi, Jatayu moksham, the devotion of Sabari, the building of Setu, Ravana Samharam and finally Srirama Pattabhishekam. Striking costumes, good music and the brisk pace of the ballet made the drama highly enjoyable. Admirable performances came from Sowmya as Rama, Alakananda Devi as Sita, Naga Varshita as Lakshmana, Vithal as Anjaneya, V.Hazarattaiah Gupta as Kumbhakarna, Ch.Ramakrishna as Ravana and Likhita as Ahalya. Venkatarama Sarma conducted the nattuvangam and the vocal team consisted of K.Suryanarayana and K.R.Sudharani.
