Lakshmi began the recital with an invocatory Pushpanjali composed by Swamimali Rajaratnam Pillai and Subramania Bharati's Mahalakshmi stuthi. Both were in raga Natta.
A Tamil varnam of Papanasam Sivan in Nattakkurinchi, ‘Sami nanunthanatimai' came next.
A ragamalika virutham in Kapi and Mohanam and Arunachalakavirayer's ‘En pallikondeerayya' were also presented.
In ‘Nadarmudimelirukkum Nagappambe' in Punnagavarali, Lakshmi's lithe movements to mimic a snake's movement drew appreciation.
