Shree Charan Academy of Fine Arts presented traditional Bharatanatyam in the Vazhuvoor bani on the concluding day of the 27th dance festival organised by Pollachi Tamizh Isai Sangam. The disciples of Jayanthi Ramachandra began with Thodaya Mangalam and Mallari. Each and every aspect of the Margam was presented including Alarippu, Jatiswaram and Sabdham. Amrithavalli, one of her disciples, presented the varnam ‘Naathanai Azhaithu Vaa Sakhiye’, giving life to the imaginative choreography. Amrithavalli, Sowjanya, Krithi, Darsha and Lakshmi Nethra were ably supported by Jayanthi Ramachandra’s nattuvangam and a well-trained orchestra.
