In connection with Sidhendra Adarsha Dance festival, delightful Kuchipudi group dances and mini ballets were performed by several children – all in their early teens. The two day program was jointly conducted by State Department of Culture, Sri Adharsha Samskritika Kala Niketan, Andhra Arts Academy and Kala Darshini at Laila Gangaraju Kala Vedika. After some group items the artistes performed mini dance dramas; namely Kanipaka Charitram , and Telugu Bhasha Vaibhavam with colourful and apt costumes. Graceful movements and good synchronization marked the two dance dramas. Guests for inaugural function Dr. Vidya Kanna, Mangalagiri Adithya Prasad, M.D. Sikhamani, Vemula Hazarattaiah Gupta, Golla Narayana Rao and principal of the Music College C. Munikumar spoke saying that it is everybody's responsibility to protect and encourage our great cultural heritage.

On the second day a full fledged dance drama titled Jana Rayalu written by Natyacharya Suravarapu Ramesh Babu and excellently choreographed by Ramavani was enacted faultlessly by a cast of senior artistes. The dance drama dealt with the golden period of Sri Krishna Devaraya's rule. Fine singing by K. Suryanarayana and nattuvangam by Natyacharya Hemant Kumar amply complimented the ballet. The cast included Yasaswini, Priyadarshini, Anusha, Manya, Susmita, Bindu, Satyanarayanareddy, S. Pedabramham, Mohanram Prasad, Sarma, Sarma, Venkateswara Rao, Sattibabu among others.
