Senior artist K.G. Subramanyan passes away

Senior artist K.G. Subramanyan (92) passed away in Vadodara on Wednesday.

Subramanyan, who was recovering from a recent surgery, was a modernist, having studied art under stalwarts like Nandlal Bose, Ramkinkar Baij and Benode Bihari Mukherjee in Shantiniketan.

When he turned 90, Seagull Foundation For The Arts decided to celebrate the occasion with a year-long travelling exhibition of the master’s latest works.
