Admissions at RMI

Raffles Millennium International (RMI) Chennai, has announced admissions for six design courses — Interior Design, Visual Communication, Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing and Management, Multimedia Design and Product Design — for the intake of academic term beginning April 2014.

The candidates can buy application forms and sit for Raffles aptitude test - RMAT.

There is a common admission form that is available at the campus. The admission form shall be available at the Raffles centre for purchase and submission. Vidyadeep scholarship

Sikkim Manipal University, Directorate of Distance Education announced the launch of its fifth “National Level Vidyadeep Scholarship” for students who enrol in any of their distance education programmes by January 31.

The scholarships ranging from 15 to 100 per cent fee waiver are available for students who have enrolled in the current admission drive.

The scholarship will depend on the marks secured by the student at the qualifying examination or the SMAT (Sikkim Manipal University Aptitude Test).

A student securing more than 90 per cent in the qualifying examination will receive a 100 per cent fee waiver; a student scoring between 80 and 90 per cent will receive a 50 per cent fee waiver; a student scoring between 50 and 80 per cent will receive a 15 per cent fee waiver.

A student securing less than 50 per cent is also eligible for a 15 per cent scholarship provided he/she clears the SMU-DE’s management aptitude test (SMAT).

Each category has a limited number of scholarships and once this number is exhausted, students automatically qualify for the next lower category.

Spoken English class

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chennai, is conducting a Spoken English Course (basic and intermediate levels) for college students, employees, job-seekers and housewives. Classes will be conducted by trained, qualified and experienced teachers. Classes begin on February 2. Applications are being issued now. Last date for submitting application is Janaury 31.
