The coming together of improved communication technologies and creative ideas has meant new opportunities for knowledge creation. A familiarity with these technologies helps professionals in better projection of their ideas and also means more business opportunities.

Keeping this in mind, the National Institute of Design (NID) is conducting a workshop on “Videography for Creative Professionals” at its campus in Ahmedabad next month. The five day workshop from June 4 to June 8 will be non-residential in nature.

According to an NID spokesperson the idea behind the initiative is to supplement the professionals in the area of communication design. This will be achieved with learning aesthetic aspects of videography. Besides the aesthetic part, it will also cover the various technical and esthetical aspect of cinematic communication.

With a total intake of a maximum of twenty participants, the workshop will target both — professionals who have some previous experience in still photography and videography and who wish to develop an improved understanding of videography and learn to cover various events.

“Anyone in the creative field including designers, managers, social workers, professionals and students will benefit from this programme.

Others desiring to increase their sensitivity and creativity are also welcome. All that is needed is an open mind,” said the NID spokesperson.
