The Army Welfare Education Society has invited applications for admission to Army colleges and institutes. Admission is only for the wards of serving Army personnel and ex-personnel granted regular pension.

Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi Cantonment: MBBS course, 100 seats. Eligibility: pass in Plus Two with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50 per cent marks put together (40 per cent for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes). Army College of Dental Sciences, Secunderabad: BDS and MDS courses. Those who have passed Plus Two with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50 per cent marks in aggregate are eligible to apply for the BDS course. The admission test will be held on April 20. The test for the MDS course will be held on March 23. Specialisations available for the MDS course are Prosthodontics, Conservative Dentistry, Periodontics, Pedodontics, Orthodontics and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (two seats each). Army College of Nursing, Jalandhar: B.Sc. Nursing, 50 seats. Admission is only for women. Entry qualification is a pass in Plus Two with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 45 per cent marks in aggregate. Visit www.acn.co.in for details.

Army Institute of Nursing, Guwahati: B.Sc. Nursing, 40 seats. Entry qualification is a pass in Plus Two with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50 per cent marks in aggregate. Age between 17 and 25 as on December 31, 2014. Visit www.ain.guwahati.org for details.

The Army Institute of Technology, Pune: B.Tech. course in Mechanical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Engineering and Information Technology. Entry qualification is a pass in Plus Two with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 45 per cent marks in aggregate. The applicants should have been born on or after October 1, 1989. Selection is on the basis of the rank in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main). Visit www.aitpune.com for details.

The Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Bangalore: BHM course, 60 seats. Entry qualification is Plus Two with English. Age below 22 as on July 1, 2014. A written test will be held on May 3. Visit www.ihmcbangalore.com.

The Army Institute of Fashion and Design, Bangalore: B.Sc. Fashion and Apparel Design, 60 seats; postgraduate courses in Fashion Design and Apparel Merchandising and Logistic Management (20 seats for each course). The Army Institute of Education, Greater Noida: B.Ed. course, 100 seats. Graduates with minimum 45 per cent marks in aggregate and below 35 years of age as on August 1, 2014, are eligible to apply. Visit www.aie.ac.in for details.
