I completed B.Tech with CSE as specialization. My career goal is to become business leader. I wanted to pursue MBA abroad. I came to know that we need to have work experience to join in a business school. In which area should I work to get experience keeping in view my goal? Give me information about CII, FICCI, IMF organisations’ jobs and part/full time courses offered in it.

To pursue MBA abroad, a candidate needs to have a good academic record along with good GMAT, TOFEL / IELTS scores. Work experience is dependent on the college/university of choice. Countries like Australia, Canada and Singapore offer a variety of vistas for higher education and candidates have ample choice to pursue their education in their field of interest.

To reach your goal to become an effective business leader, first map your area of interest. Delve into it and improve yourself in that field. A thorough knowledge of the field, the technicalities, and nitty-gritty of managing any business comes only with experience.

If you wish to seek employment as to gain experience which will hold you in good stead for your future dream, ensure you look to work with an organisation where you can pick up many skills. Hone and polish yourself, meet people, entrepreneurs who have ventured out on their own. Seek and get guidance from people in the same business .Software industry has lot of openings and employment with your educational qualification should not be hard to find.

You can start as GIS Analyst/Technician and then move up with experience. GIS developer is equivalent to software developer while analyst does more of analysis and possesses domain knowledge. Candidates with good geography skills, ability to communicate well, think, analyse and solve problems are always preferred in GIS field. Private Sector employs GIS candidates and they can start their career as an Image Analyst, GIS Programmer/Engineer.
