The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) (www.nls.ac.in) offers a one-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights Law (PGDIPRL) in the distance mode. The programme has been appreciated for its inputs by the Intellectual Property practitioners.

You can join the Air Force as an officer or as an airman. As an officer you lead, manage and strategise and as an airman you provide vital support to all the air and ground operations.

The Indian Air Force invites young, enthusiastic and committed men and women to lead and manage as officers. Candidates short-listed after the initial selection procedure go through a rigorous training regimen at one of the Air Force training establishments.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) (www.ignou.ac.in) Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Cardiology (PGDCC) is conducted under the aegis of the School of Health Sciences (SOHS). It is open to those who have completed MBBS. It can be completed in two years and extended to four years.

It has a total of 13 courses of which theory constitutes 32 credits and the practical aspect has 40 credits.

The main objective is to ensure that the learner is able to imbibe comprehensive knowledge of common cardiovascular diseases and be able to manage healthcare services at different institutional levels; provide cardiac emergency at various places i.e. small town, district town; provide services related to Electrocardiography, Stress Test, Holter Monitoring, Echocardiography, Cardiac Radiology and related non-invasive services, including diabetes mellitus; provide non-invasive paediatric cardiology including paediatric cardiac emergencies; acquire knowledge of the risk factors of the cardiovascular diseases; and provide preventive cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation services to the community.

The primary goal of the programme is to train more medical graduates in clinical cardiology to deal effectively with the early recognition, management and prevention of common cardiovascular diseases (Non-Invasive Cardiology) and associated diseases, particularly diabetes mellitus.
